Terms of use
What the information on this website is, what it is not, and where the terms that actually govern a job live.
Draft for review
A plain-English draft covering the use of this website. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the business details still need to be supplied. Review it before launch.
Who these terms are with
This website is operated by Blackjack Constructions Pty. Ltd. Our ABN and registered details are business details to supply. By using the site you are agreeing to what follows.
These terms cover the website, not the work
This page is about using this website. It is not the trading agreement for building work. The terms that govern an actual job — scope, materials, price, payment, timing, variations and warranty — live in the written quote we give you and in whatever contract follows it. If anything on this website appears to conflict with your quote, the quote is the document that counts.
The information here is general
We have written the guidance on this site — about materials, coastal conditions, footings, drainage, dividing fences and the rest — to be genuinely useful and accurate. It is general information about how this kind of work usually goes. It is not advice about your specific property, and it is not legal advice.
Where we describe the Dividing Fences Act 1961 (WA), pool barrier requirements, or local government approvals, that is a plain-language summary to help you understand the shape of the thing. Requirements change, they differ between the councils across our service area, and your circumstances matter. For anything contested or consequential, get proper advice.
Quotes and prices
Any prices published on this website are indicative starting points to help you budget. They are not an offer and they are not a quote.
A real price comes after we have measured the job on site, and arrives as a written, itemised quote. That quote is valid for the period stated on it and is subject to what we find on site — access, ground conditions and the state of anything already there can all change the scope.
Enquiries through this website
Sending an enquiry does not create a contract and does not book any work in. It starts a conversation. We will come back to you, and nothing is committed on either side until there is a written quote you have accepted.
Please only send information and photographs you have the right to send. If you are enquiring about a property that is not yours — arranging work for a family member, for instance — make sure they are happy for you to do so.
Availability
We try to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or remove content without notice, and service descriptions here reflect what we do generally rather than guaranteeing availability for a particular job at a particular time.
Content on this site
The text, images, drawings and design on this website belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not copy them for use elsewhere.
Project photographs, where they appear, are of our own completed work. We do not use stock photography to represent jobs we have done.
Links to other websites
Where we link somewhere else — a regulator, a utility, a standard — we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content.
Privacy
What happens to the information you send us through the form is set out in ourprivacy policy.
