Privacy policy
What we collect when you enquire, what we do with it, and what we do not do with it.
Draft for review
This is a plain-English draft describing what this website actually does. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the business details below still need to be supplied. Review it before launch.
Who this applies to
This policy covers Blackjack Constructions Pty. Ltd. and this website. Our ABN, registered address and the contact details for privacy questions arebusiness details to supply.
What we collect
When you use the quote form on this website, we ask for:
- Your name — so we know who we are speaking to.
- Your phone number — so we can call you back.
- Your suburb — so we know where the work is.
- What you need — so the enquiry reaches the right person.
- Your email address, optionally — we do not require it, because this is a business people prefer to run over the phone.
- A rough size, a message, and any photographs you choose to attach — all optional, and all only what you decide to send.
We do not ask for your street address, your date of birth, or any financial information through this website. We do not have accounts or logins, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to store.
What we do with it
We use it to respond to your enquiry: to call you back, to work out what the job involves, to come and measure it, and to send you a quote. That is the whole purpose.
If you become a customer, we keep the details needed to do the work and to meet our record keeping and tax obligations.
What we do not do with it
- We do not sell your details to anyone.
- We do not pass them to other trades or lead-generation services.
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote. If we ever run one, it will be something you opt into.
Where it goes technically
When you submit the form, the information is sent to our website host and delivered to us by email through Postmark, a transactional email service. The website itself is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Both are third-party providers who process the information on our behalf in order to deliver your enquiry to us, and both may store or route data outside Australia.
The form includes a hidden field used to catch automated spam submissions. It collects nothing about you — a real visitor never sees it and never fills it in.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set tracking cookies and does not currently run an analytics service. If that changes, this section will be updated before it does, and the detail will say which service and what it collects.analytics decision to confirm
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and are then deleted. Records relating to completed work are kept for as long as our tax and record keeping obligations require.retention period to confirm
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Get in touch and we will sort it out. Our contact details for this areprivacy contact to supply.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy issue, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
